Jialin Joshua Peng is 14 years old and lives in San Ramon, California. He was first introduced to piano at the age of seven as an addition to his enthusiasm for soccer and martial arts. Since then, his devotion for music grew along with his passion for sports. He participates in yearly recitals and competitions, starting with 4th place wins in both the Alameda County Piano Competition and the USOMC Open Solo category in 2020. The pandemic became a window for Joshua to further improve his piano skills, and in April 2021, his ease while performing allowed him to pass the ABRSM grade 8 Piano Performance with distinction. In 2022 and 2023, he was a winner for the American Protege International Piano and Strings competition, and was given the opportunity to perform twice at Carnegie Hall. This year, he hopes to once again express his passion for music to the world.
