Jiho Cliff Yoon made his debut at Suntory Hall in Tokyo in February 2018 and later performed at Kawai Hall in June of the same year. During his stay in Japan until 2021, he diligently honed his cello skills. Notably, Cliff and his sister held a mini concert at Tokyo Narita Airport during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic, aiming to bring hope to those affected. Cliff’s dedication to the cello paid off when he secured first place in the Manhattan International Music Competition in December 2022. He also has won 1st place in a competition organized by the City Philharmonic Orchestra in August 2023. Cliff’s commitment to music continued as he performed another mini concert, this time at the DMZ in Korea in August 2023. In February 2024, he had an accompanied performance with the City Philharmonic Orchestra and played a leadership role in the AMIS(Association for Music in International Schools) orchestra as the cello section leader. Currently, Cliff serves as the cello section leader for the Seoul International School Middle School Orchestra.
