Jingyi Ling

I started playing the guzheng when I was 9 years old. I was moving to the United States and wanted to retain part of my musical culture, so I decided to start learning a Chinese instrument. I learned quickly because of my prior musical experience with the piano, and soon was able to perform difficult pieces. I passed level 11 last year with the China Conservatory of Music. Guzheng has become a large part of my life and a reminder of my origins.
