John C Carpenter is a pianist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the Manhattan School of Music and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He won the International Competition Immortal and Living Composers and has second prizes from Charleston and NFSM International competitions. His 3 performances at Carnegie Hall include two solo concerts and a competition victory appearance. He has appeared with several orchestras. His teachers included Eugene List, Sascha Gorodnitzki, Kyriena Siloti and Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi. With his wife Suzanne, John teaches piano at the Arts Center of Springfield Township and has a radio program, the John Carpenter Music and Variety show, on WAIF Cincinnati 88.3 fm and online live at waifradio.org. He is married, a grandfather, and owns a cat.
