
Joji Lewicki is a second grader at Samuel Bissell Elementary School in Twinsburg, OH. He has been taking violin lessons since the age of four from Koko Watanabe, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, a former member of Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and a regular extra violinist of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Joji won multiple first prizes that include the 2023 International Music Competition Barcelona Grand Prize Virtuoso, the 2023 Vivaldi Music Competition, The Aurora Young Artist String Competition 2023. He has given recitals in Spain, Japan, and the USA. Joji joined Suzuki Summer Camp in Music Settlement in 2021 and 2022. He also joined the Chamber Intensive summer program at Conservatory of Music at Hudson Montessori School in 2022 and 2023. Joji has performed for the Brahms Allegro Junior Music Club in Akron since August 2022. He was invited to perform for the Tuesday Musical Club meeting to represent Brahms Allegro in November 2022. Other than music, Joji loves Pokémon, and playing with LEGOs. Joji enjoys traveling to Japan to see his Japanese side of the family every summer. Besides his parents, Joji likes playing with his baby sister, Mitsuki, and the cat, Kuro-chan.
