Jose Della Casa is an upcoming 12th grader at Westminster Christian School in Miami, Florida. He began violin at age 6. He has been studying for the last few years with Mr. Guangshu Song. He recently won first place in the winter 2023 King’s Peak International Music Competition. He has also been selected twice to participate in the Florida All-State Orchestra where he had the opportunity to play under the direction of Maestro Steven Amundson. He participated in the Florida Music Performance Assessment Solo where he earned Superior with Distinction. He has attended music summer camps at the Young Musicians Advanced Camp at the University of Miami. Jose also enjoys science, soccer, and fencing (foil discipline).
