Since I was a little kid (around 5), I have always been captivated by the beauty of classical music. I would often hear beautiful pieces on YouTube, such as Nocturne in C-sharp minor, Nocturne Op. 72 No. 1, and Ballade No. 4 in F minor. Hearing these pieces, I would wish that I could play them one day.

I didn’t begin my musical journey until my freshman year of high school, when I learned to play guitar and read sheet music. Although I absorbed only a small amount from that class, it gave me the foundation I needed to start my piano journey in January of last year. I began taking piano lessons with my current teacher, whose guidance has helped me accomplish so much already. I’ve even been able to play two of the pieces I had dreamed of playing since childhood.

My piano teacher has been instrumental in my progress, especially by helping me acquire an acoustic piano. I know this is just the first small step in a long journey ahead, and I look forward to every part of it.
