Joshua Lee is a 15-year-old double bassist living in Long Island, New York. He started his music career on the cello at age four and currently studies the double bass with Timothy Cobb. He currently attends Portledge School and previously took part in the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division Program.
He has performed in many concert venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center ever since he was 7 years old.
In 2022, he placed first in the New York Laureate International Music Competition.
In 2023, Joshua placed third in the Camerata Concerto Competition as well. Joshua most recently placed first in the New York Artists International Competition. He also played the Koussevitzky Bass Concerto with the New York Youth Laureate Orchestra in March of 2024.
As part of his free time, Joshua enjoys watching action movies, writing short stories, and traveling abroad.
