
Joshua Kim is a sophomore at McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His music career started at a young age, starting with piano but shifting to playing the clarinet in 5th grade. He is contributing to his school’s band and orchestra as the 1st chair clarinet. As a freshman, he participated as an All-State clarinetist at the 2023 Tennessee Music Education Association (TMEA) Clinic, the All-East 1st-chair clarinetist at the 2023 ETSBOA Clinic, and the All-East ETSBOA Junior Clinic (8-9th division) 1st chair clarinet.
He has performed in numerous settings, including recitals, convention events, and restaurants.
Apart from his interests in music, Joshua is very invested in studying biology, especially in conducting cancer cell culture research and helping run a non-profit organization fighting against childhood cancer.
