Joshua Taemin Cho is a 9-year-old fourth-grade student with a deep passion for the piano. His love for music and rhythm began at an early age, and he started playing the piano at the age of 5. Despite not having perfect pitch, Joshua has an extraordinary ability to memorize and play music by ear, quickly developing a strong connection to the piano. His enthusiasm for music led him to explore other instruments, including the violin and drums.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Joshua remained committed to his musical growth, performing in both in-person and online concerts to share his progress with audiences. He is also active on his YouTube channel, where he frequently uploads performances, many of which are filmed in collaboration with his teacher.
Joshua Taemin Cho is participating in his first piano competition. While he feels some fear and nervousness, he is also excited to take on the challenge of something he loves. This competition marks the beginning of his journey, where he plans to practice and learn more difficult pieces, with the goal of participating in many more competitions. Joshua’s love for music is evident, as he has already started learning drums and violin, and he hopes to learn guitar and other instruments in the future. His ultimate dream is to use his musical talents to perform in church and other places where music is needed, and to become someone who can help others through his music.
