Joyce Yan

Joyce Yan, aged 12, began learning violin at the age of six, followed by pipa at seven, and piano at eight. She also plays various other instruments including guzheng, zhongruan, saxophone, guitar, and percussion. Joyce records poetry for children and participates in church music ministry weekly. She has performed Chinese music at venues such as Harvard University and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Joyce is the principal musician of her school’s symphony orchestra, and she has won numerous music awards in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, and other countries. Additionally, she is a member of the school’s debate team.
