Jules Amyot

Jules Amyot is 10 years old and lives in Washington, DC. This summer, Jules performed in the Cello Studio – Junior Division of the 2022 Heifetz International Summer Institute at Mary Baldwin University, Staunton, VA. On the cello, Jules has won first prize in the 2022 European Music Competition of the Charleston International Music Competition, 2021 AAMS Piano, String, Voice, & Woodwind Competition, and the 2021 Metropolitan Music Festival. In addition, Jules has won second Prize in the 2022 AAMS Piano, String, Voice, & Woodwind Competition, in the 51st and 50th Annual Joseph and Goldie Feder Memorial String Competition, in the 2022 Music of Mediterranean Europe and the 2021 Rising Talents of America, Great Composers Competition. Jules also placed third in the 2021 Artist of the Year and the 2022 Best Bach Performance, Great Composers Competition. On the violin, Jules won second place in the 2022 Baroque Music Competition of The Charleston International Music Competition.
Currently, Jules is Principal Cello for Chamber Strings in the Maryland Classical Youth Orchestra and was Principal Cello for the DC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Jules is fluent in French and Mandarin.

Jules’s musical repertoire includes solo music for the violin and the cello, chamber ensembles, and orchestral music. Jules is fluent in French and Mandarin.
