Julia Beal has been studying piano for several years. She competes regularly, and has won two first place honors at the Spokane Piano Competition. She has also won three gold medals at Musicfest Northwest at Gonzaga University and two gold medals at Lilac City Piano Festival in Spokane. Julia received second place at the WSMTA State Recitalist Competition, and first place at the 2023 KPIMC Fall Competition. She has many other interests including reading in three languages, hiking, horses, cats, math, and studying insects. Julia is grateful to her piano instructor Barbara Miller for her guidance, and to her parents for all of their help and care.
