Julian Slive began his piano studies at age 5, and has been studying with Tiffany Goff for four years. Passionate about music, Julian especially enjoys the privilege of performing for others, and bringing joy to his listeners. He has participated in numerous studio and school recitals in Florida and Ohio, and regularly shares his time and talent playing for residents of South Florida assisted living facilities. Julian has taken home multiple prizes, including 2nd prize in the 2020 Florida Keys International Music Talent Competition, and honors in the 2021 Palm Beach County MTA Judged Musicale. As a piano duo, Julian and his twin brother Benjamin have enjoyed performing at Carnegie Hall, NY on several occasions as 1st and 2nd prize winners of the 2018 and 2021 Florida Keys International Music Competition, and 2nd and 3rd prize winners of the 2019 and 2021 American Protégé International Music Talent Competition. They also took 2nd prize in the 2020 Florida Keys Competition, and were invited to perform at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Florida. Together, they participated in a masterclass with Profs. Judith Burganger and Leonid Treer, as well as taking home the gold and silver medals in the 2020 Golden Key International Music Festival.
Julian is also an accomplished lacrosse player, representing his travel lacrosse team as the face off midfielder. He also enjoys other athletic activities, including tennis and competing in junior ski slalom races. Equally devoted to academics, Julian’s favorite subjects are math and science. In his spare time, Julian likes to create art, listen to music, cook, and enjoy the company of friends in his home, where he loves spending time with his mom, dad, brother Ben, tiny dog Phoebe, and big puppy Everest.
