I started playing violin when I was in 4th grade, after being enthralled by my school orchestra’s recruitment concert. I’ve been doing school orchestra ever since then, which has always ended up being the highlight of my school day.
I started taking private lessons only about two years ago, which is when I saw drastic improvements in my playing. My rapidly improving skills allowed me to play more difficult and fun pieces, which in turn motivated me to improve even more. Joining competitions has been personally very nerve-wrecking for me, but I’m ultimately glad that I made the decision to join this competition because it only pushed me to practice harder to achieve greater results.
