Born in 1998 in Taiwan, Juo-Hsuan Liu is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Azusa Pacific University in California (anticipated May 2021) under the tutelage of Dr. Andrew Park and the late Dr. Eugene Alcalay. Soon after discovering her musical talent in music, Liu started her musical training in Taiwan at the age of four. As a solo pianist, she continues to gain musical experiences by participating in several music festivals in Asia, Europe, and the United States. She has performed in masterclasses with Krzysztof Jablonski, Boris Berman, Ian Jones, and Antoinette Perry. Liu won the Gold medal at the 2021 Chopin Northwest Online Competition. She was also the winner of the annual Concerto Competition at Azusa Pacific University and anticipated to perform Ravel Piano Concerto in G Major with the APU Symphony in Fall 2021. As a passionate chamber musician, Ariel collaborated with other talented musicians and performed at chamber music concert series and recitals. She also served as piano accompanist and teacher assistant at Azusa Pacific University
