My name is Kaden Cho and I’m a pianist and composer from Southern California. I will be attending my first year of college at UC San Diego as a Music Major, hoping to emphasize in music composition!
I developed a strong connection with music in my freshman year of high school when I began writing songs for the piano. Entering quarantine, I had more time on my hands to spend on composing, listening to my favorite composers, and improving my piano technique. By the end of my senior year, I’ve been able to publish 3 albums on diverse music platforms, acquiring over 70k streams on Spotify. These albums are a reflection of my musical influences from a spectrum of composers like Joe Hisaishi all the way to Chopin and many others. Through these albums, I aim to take my audience to a greater level of relaxation and appreciation for instrumental music. Throughout my years of piano, I’ve continuously scored high on many of my ABRSM exams. Just recently, I was able to score a distinction on my final ABRSM exam of grade 8. I continue to take huge interests in piano repertoire especially from composers like Ravel, Liszt, and Chopin. In my high school, I served musically as a clarinetist and Drum Major in the Marching band.
I look forward to diving further into my journey with music in the future!
