Kam Fung Fan

Kam-fung Fan started to play the saxophone at the age of eight. His teachers include Miss Tsang Man Sze and Jacky Leung. He studied with Dr. Tak-chiu Wong at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (BM).
Kam-fung was the winner of The Elbe Valley International Music Festival Competition 2017 (Woodwinds class). Also, he was one of the finalists of The 1st and 2nd Asia Pacific Saxophone Competition. In 2020, he was awarded the 1st prize of “Golden Classical Music Awards’’ International Competition. Besides competition, Kam-fung was the recipient of different scholarships including Hong Kong Government Scholarship, The Society of APA Local Scholarships 2019/20 and HKAPA Scholarship 2020/21. Being an active performer in Hong Kong, he is the member and rehearsal coach of Hong Kong Youth Saxophone Choir.
Kam-fung is now studying and working as a graduate teaching assistant at Oklahoma State University (MM) under the guidance of Dr. Johnny Salinas and Dr. Jeffrey Loeffert.
