Violin has been part of my growing up for 14 years now, giving me joys and learning opportunities. Studying with Ms. Hong Chou for 8 years at the Pacific Violin Academy has extended my Classical music understanding to a new horizon.
I have been part of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony for 7 years now and joined my school orchestra in middle school. Last year, I have also went on an international tour with my youth orchestra in the summer, travelling to Spain and Portugal.
I have won two Charleston international competitions in the past, the 18th century in 2023 and the baroque competitions in 2024.
Every year, as a member of the Wave Elements Youth Ensemble, we have chamber music training and perform at the Portland Cultural Festivals, prepare for an annual recital, and participate in the American String Teachers Association Certification Advancement Program (ASTA CAP) in which I have just completed my 9th level.
