
Kashvi Kumar, a rising 10th grader, has been playing cello for over 6 years now. She started piano in 3rd grade and then picked up cello with Joy Bedillion a year later. She is currently a student of Bonnie Thron, principal cellist of the North Carolina Symphony. Kashvi is a member of Triangle Youth Philharmonic that performs professional-level orchestral works. She is also a member of North Carolina Chamber Music Institute.
Kashvi has received first place at the Elite International Music Competition 2024. In recognition of her exceptional accomplishment in music, she got an opportunity to perform at the winners recital at the Carnegie Hall, New York. She has also received Leadership Award recently through North Carolina Chamber Music Institute.
