I began learning violin in late 2014 with Gayaneh Kumar while living in Los Angeles and have been learning with her since. While studying with her, I have competed multiple times in Satori Strings Competitions as well as once in VOCE (with a small ensemble). After moving to San Diego, I joined my middle school’s orchestra which allowed me to attend the California All-State Orchestra (both years) and All-Southern Orchestra (8th grade). I also played in the local youth orchestra, called Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra (MMYO), in the Intermediate Orchestra. I currently participate in my high school’s orchestra, attended the California All-Southern Orchestra, and MMYO’s Advanced Orchestra, still studying music with my private teacher.
