Kedong Gui was born in October 2005 in Anhui province and began taking his first piano lessons at the age of ten in 2015.
The next year, he won an award for excellence in Children’s Group B at Shanghai Open Competition for Piano, and he took the third place in the Chopin Group in 2018.
He was admitted to Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Xiao Luo in 2019.
From 2021 to the present, he is a student of Professor Natalia Filippova. He won the Junior B champion at the 12th Asia Youth Piano Festival and the first price in the Vienna Virtuoso Competition.
This year, he won the second place in senior group at the Lanzhou International Piano Festival and the fourth prize at the Seventh Asia Piano Competition. He was invited by Marian Rybicki to perform a concert at Salle Cortot in October.
