Ken Thongpahusatcha

Ken is a deep thinker and his ideas spring from internalized formulation of information and original thought. He is passionate about music, but beyond that, Ken is passionate about learning.
Ken never seems to think there is an “end” to what he is learning; likewise, he never views a piece of music he’s studied as “finished.” Thus, Ken demonstrates an impressive maturity in realizing that his learning and musical progress is ongoing – he remains in a state of continual development. As such, Ken works in a consistent manner as a way of being – not for this test, or that performance – Ken’s pursuit of personal excellence is perpetual.

For the past three years, Ken has studied with Mr. Robert Alan Kay, L.R.A.M., G.R.S.M. (Hons), Royal Academy of Music London. Mr. Kay is the owner of his music school, Music Online UK. Ken is also under the guidance of Dr. Elizabeth Glennon at Buckley Country Day School in Roslyn, New York, where he attends school.

As a pianist, Ken has completed the New York State School Music Association exam at Level VI, the highest level, with a near perfect score: 99/100. He has also completed The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music exam for Grade 7 with a merit. Furthermore, Ken is an
exceptional singer and has frequently performed solos at Buckley Country Day School assemblies. Additionally, Ken is studying percussion to gain orchestral experience in his high school years.
