Hi! My name is Kevin Monzon and I started off learning cello under my teacher, Andrew Inwoo Su in the 7th grade. I have always loved music growing up, but my teacher played a pivotal role in making that love for music grow. Today, I am still playing cello as a Senior at Northwood High School in their Philharmonic Orchestra under director Ben Case, and have participated in multiple competitions, senior home events, and have been apart of multiple chamber groups whether it was with my friends Lucas Nguyen, Minji Choi, and Jasmine Shao, or with the Junior Chamber Music organization. Under Mr. Andrew’s and Mr. Cases amazing tutelage, they made cello seem more fun every week and I am extremely grateful for being able to learn the immense knowledge and love they have for music.
