My name is Ken Nguyen, and I’ve been playing the piano since I was 5 years old. At first, I found it quite boring and challenging, and there were moments when I wanted to give up. However, my family and my piano teachers have always been there to support and motivate me. My teachers guided me through tough piano pieces and my mom showed me how to relax with music, while my dad inspired me by explaining how integral music is to life.
Over the years, playing the piano has become incredibly fun for me. I love how my fingers effortlessly glide over the keys, especially when playing my favorite pieces. I can truly feel the emotions and stories behind each piece as I play them.
Performing is something I’ve grown to enjoy, although it still makes me a bit nervous beforehand. Whenever I tackle a challenging work, I initially feel like it’s impossible. But with perseverance, it becomes easier, and I feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that I am one step closer to becoming a true musician.
