Khanh, a 14-year-old violinist from Houston, began her musical journey at the tender age of 5. Driven by a desire to carve out her own niche and avoid comparisons with her older brother, a skilled pianist, Khanh chose the violin, setting her on a path of personal growth and achievement. Additionally, Khanh began playing piano and self-taught herself the clarinet to participate in her middle school band, compensating for the absence of an orchestra.
Since 2020, Khanh has been a yearly participant in the auditions for the prestigious Houston Youth Symphony, showcasing her talent among the best young musicians in the region. Her skills were recognized early when, at just 8 years old, she was selected as one of the Houston Young Artists—an honor that highlights the most promising young musicians in the city.
Khanh has also been competing annually at the Texas Federation of Music Clubs, which is part of the National Federation of Music Clubs, since 2016. This platform has provided her with numerous opportunities to hone her skills and gain recognition for her musical prowess.
All of Khanh’s performances are recorded using her mother’s cell phone, without any editing, underscoring the simplicity and authenticity of her musical expression. Despite the modest means of recording, Khanh remained undeterred when compared to the professional recordings of her peers.
Khanh has a deep affinity for classical pieces, playing them with both passion and maturity. As she continues to develop her skills and expand her repertoire, Khanh also shares her music at nursing homes and through community outreach programs.
