Kyle Anthony Cortés

A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Kyle Anthony Cortés is a current graduate student of DePaul School of Music, seeking a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance studying with Dr. Viktoria Vizin. His undergraduate studies include two Bachelors of Music degrees from the University of Florida in voice performance and composition, graduating cum laude in his class. Cortés’ other formal training includes a summer of private research in composition and combination-tones at the Mozarteum Conservatory with Dr. Achim Bornhöft and six-month study with Dr. Jourdan L. Howell’s Palm Beach Opera Apprentice Studio. Cortés’ recent credits include roles of Basilio in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Jesus in Charpentier’s Denial of St. Peter, Monsieur Vogelsang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, the Witch in Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel and Satyavan in Gustav Holst’s Savitri.
