Landon Fringer, 16, is a junior at Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California. He started his formal piano lessons at the age of 8 and currently studies under Dominic A. Cheli at the Colburn School in Los Angeles.
He has performed as a soloist with several orchestras since his orchestral debut at age 9, including the MostArts International Orchestra in New York in 2023 and the Palisades Symphony Orchestra in 2023 and 2018. the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra in 2017
Over the past few years, he has received top prizes in numerous piano competitions, including the California Association of Professional Music Teachers Honor’s Competition State Finals, the SoCal International Piano Competition, the MTNA California State Competitions, the Los Angeles Young Pianist Competition, the LA Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Piano Concerto Competition, the statewide San Francisco Bay Area Piano Competition, the Music Teachers’ Association of California Competition, the California Association of Professional Music Teachers Competition, the Turner Concerto Competition, and multiple categories in the Southwest Youth Music Festival. He was also a scholarship recipient from the Westside Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for many years.
