My name is Larry Bai. I am 9 years old. I have been playing the violin for 7 months. For the past 7 months, I have been practicing every day to accomplish my goals. I take private lessons two times per week minimum. I am in my elementary school orchestra in the advanced class. At the beginning of the school year, I was in the beginner class. Because of my hard work, my school orchestra teacher asked if I would like to audition into the advanced class. I said yes, and chose to take on the challenge to audition. A few days later, I completed the audition and made it into the advanced class. I was so happy and proud of my hard work to make it in. When I practice, I challenge myself to play correctly, not to rush, and to focus. When I first started playing the violin I had a hard time slowing down to enjoy the process. Now, I understand the process of learning something difficult a lot more. Learning to play the violin has helped me become more confident, brave, and strong. Playing the violin makes me feel fabulous, excited, calm, and proud. I am proud and confident to present my piece that I have been working so hard on.
