Laura Liang

As a junior at Foothill Technology High School, Laura Liang has been learning violin since the age of eight. From then on, she’s participated in the California All-State Music Education Conference in 2017 and 2018, as well as Idyllwild Arts’ Symphony Orchestra Intensive in the summer of 2018 and 2019. Laura has also been principle second in the 2019 Idyllwild summer session in addition to Ventura College’s Symphony Orchestra for the two previous years. Along with these ensembles, she played in various chamber groups; she competed in the 2019 VOCE competition as a part of a piano trio and earned a superior rating. Laura also earned an honorable mention with Beriot’s Scene de Ballet in VOCE. Moreover, she performed Beriot’s Scene de Ballet with the Ventura College Symphony Orchestra in the March of 2019. Currently, Laura studies with Moonjun Allison and continues taking part in Ventura College’s Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, and practicing.
