Andreea Paraschiv is a coloratura soprano from Romania, based in Vienna.
Ms. Paraschiv won the 1st Prize in the “Dinu Lipatti Competition” Romania, after which she was engaged as a soloist at the “Comic Opera Bucharest”, embodying the following roles: Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady” (F. Loewe), Maria in “West Side Story” (L. Bernstein), Justine in “Mam’zelle Nitouche” (Hervé), Siretlic in “Little Dorothy” (M. Teicu).
Further highlights include: soloist with acclaimed conductor Ciprian Teodorascu/”Valahia Orchestra”, “Opera-mania Bucharest Festival”, “Mozart and Strauss Concert in Giurgiu”, ” Gala Concert Vasile Moldoveanu – Romanian Athenaeum Bucharest”, “George Enescu and World Music Festival – Romania Concert Tour”, ” Chei Festival Bucharest”, “ISA Concert Vienna”, soloist at the Schönbrunn Palace Vienna.
Ms. Paraschiv’s opera repertoire include: Zerlina (“Don Giovanni” – W. A. Mozart), Arsena (“Der Zigeunerbaron” – J. Strauss), Nanetta (“Falstaff” – G. Verdi), Euridice (“L’ Orfeo” – C. Monteverdi) and arias of: Die Königin der Nacht (“Die Zauberflöte” – W. A. Mozart), Olympia (“Les Contes d’Hoffmann” – J. Offenbach), Despina (“Cosi fan tutte” – W. A. Mozart), Blondchen (“Die Entführung aus dem Serail” – W. A. Mozart), Mademoiselle Sillberklang (“Der Schauspieldirektor” – W. A. Mozart), Adele (“Die Fledermaus” – J. Strauss), Musetta (“La Boheme”), Lauretta (“Gianni Schicchi – G. Puccini) and others.
She graduated with a Master Degree in Opera at the “National University of Music Bucharest” 2017. Ms Paraschiv completed her studies at the renowned “Vienna International Summer Academy” – “The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna”, under the guidance of Univ. Professor Claudia Visca, who she continues to study with.
She has also participated in masterclasses with Daniela Fally, Nelly Miricioiu-Kirk, Sylvia Greenberg, Maria Diaconu, Helmuth Deutsch, Marcello Giordani, Vasile Moldoveanu and Niels Muus.
