I have been learning and playing viola since 6th grade, and I’m coming up on my eighth year of viola playing! I’ve been involved in many orchestras over the years such as the All Region Orchestra (2021-2024), Abilene Youth Orchestra (2019-2024) and the Cooper High School Orchestra (2020-2024). Alongside my participation in those orchestras, I’ve been a part of a traveling performance group named Revolution Strings from 2021-2024. I have performed in front of many crowds, and got the chance to perform for the Texas Music Education Association (TMEA) convention during their welcome day in 2022. That was a crowd of 3,000! I have gotten the chance to compete in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble contest in 2023 and 2024, earning high scores both years. On top of that, I have been a part of the music group for various musicals at Cooper High School and Hardin-Simmons University. This fall, I will be attending Texas Tech University as a Viola Performance and Music Education major. I plan to bring the education that I was given to future musicians!
