Lina Hisada

Lina Hisada(18)began studying piano at age five under Dr. Nobuyo Nishizaka and is currently studying under Dr.Kevin Fitz-Gerald at USC Thornton school of music.

In 2021, she was 1st place winner of the Medici international competition, 1st and top performer of the US New Star piano competition, 2nd place for the Nordic piano competition Northern lights in the international category, and was a performer in the MTAC convention Panel masterclass under Dr. Elvin Rodriguez as panel honors.

She has been chosen as a First Prize Winner of the 2019 International Music Competition “Paris” Grand Prize Virtuoso and performed in Philharmonie de Paris in France in April 2019.
She also received the Gold Award in her age category of 2019 WPTA Finland International Piano Competition.
She has received 1st Prize of 2019 Great Composers competitions “The Music of Eastern Europe” category, 2nd Prize of 2019 Great Composers Competition Best Beethoven Performance and Best Bach Performance. First Prize of 2019 GLORY International Piano Competition Audience Award.
She participated in numerous concerts and won in various competitions, including Southwestern Youth Music Festival, CAPMT(California Association of Professional Music Teachers), MTAC(Music Teachers’ Association of California), LA Young Musician International Competition, Southern California Junior Bach Festival. She has received gold medals in categories of Well Tempered Clavier Book II in 2017 and Partitas in 2016, and silver medal in Goldberg Variations in 2018 and keyboards concerto in 2019 at the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, 1st place and at the US New Star Piano Competition in her age category and 2nd runner-up in 2017, 1st prizes at the MTAC Scholarship Competition in 2014 and 2016, and 1st place in 2016, 2nd in 2015 in CAPMT Sonata competition. Lina has won top places in the open Baroque, Chopin , Concerto, and Classical sonata complete categories of the Southwestern Youth Music Festival. She also won the top prizes at the American Protege international and Katheryn Gawartin Chopin Competition. Lina has been chosen as winner of MTAC Contemporary Festival in the past 3 years. Lina has participated in many charity concerts and has performed in Carnegie Hall in New York three times. She has been a member of the Junior Chamber Music in 2017-2018 and has performed as honors in Thayer Hall of Colburn School. She has played in the Master Classes for Dr.Paul Roberts, Dr.Stephen Pierce, Dr.Dmitry Rachmanov , Dr.Mark Richman , Dr.Francoise Regnat , Dr.Antoinette Perry and Dr.Christopher O’Riley. Lina just graduated from Arcadia High School in California and attend to University of Southern California piano performance major 2021 this fall. She enjoys dancing and learning abacus(in advanced level) as well.
