Lucas Ni is a sophomore at Ridge High School, Basking Ridge, New Jersey. He began to take violin lessons at the age of seven under the guidance of Tunde Gaal, and has since demonstrated remarkable commitment to violin studies. He was a Gold Prize winner in Global International Music Competition 2024 and Second Prize winner in Prima Volta Music Competition, Summer Edition 2024.
Lucas has played with the New Jersey All State Orchestra and the Central Jersey Regions Orchestra throughout his middle and high school years. He was also a member of the New Jersey Youth Symphony. At school, Lucas has been an integral part of the orchestra, holding leadership positions including Principal and Assistant Principal.
In addition to his orchestral achievements, Lucas is a proud member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society at Ridge High School, performing with a small ensemble at various school events and community venues. Additionally, as an active volunteer with the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS) Basking Ridge Branch, he frequently performs violin solos at Fellowship Village senior living center, bringing joy and music to the residents.
Passionate about violin performance, Lucas aspires to share his love for music with a broader audience and continue to refine his artistry to inspire and connect with others.
