Lucas Garland began his piano studies at the age of 5, and is currently a student of Tiffany Goff. Passionate about music, Lucas enjoys every opportunity to share his art with others. He has participated in numerous studio recitals in Florida and North Carolina, as well as local musicale performances. Lucas performed his first solo recital at age 7 at the Steinway Piano Gallery of Boca Raton, playing works of Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bartók, and Offenbach. He has received multiple honors in performance and theory from Florida State Music Teachers Association’s statewide Student Day, and most recently received an honorable mention in Raleigh Piano Teachers Association’s Young Artist Auditions.
In his spare time, Lucas listens to and reads music widely. He enjoys exploring many styles of music, and composes his own works for piano. Lucas has a keen interest in geography, knows all the capital cities of the countries of the world, and enjoys reading about the history of different countries. Lucas lives in Rural Hall, NC with his mom, dad, sister, brother, and three fancy hamsters.
