Lucy Kim, age 11, is a six grader at Stoller Middlle School. She has grown up hearing violin and piano sounds thanks to her grandma, who is a succesful pianist and can play violin and flute too. She has started playing violin at the age of eight. She joined the Interlude Orchestra for 2022-2023 in Metropolitan Youth Symphony(MYS). She joined the Portland Youth Philharmonic(PYP) at the age of 11 in PYSE. She won a grand prize in the violin part in the World Music Artists International Competition in May, 2023. Her role model is her grandmother.
