MACY KRAEMER
Macy is a junior at Coronado High School where she has been in the Madrigal Chamber Choir for three years, the Concert Choir and Bella Voce Choirs which she has also accompanied on the piano at concerts. She has served as Section Leader for all three choirs as well as being an officer. She was also invited into the Eric Whitacre Honor Choir, earned a place in the CCSD Honor Choir, and most recently, the Nevada All-State Choir.
Last year, she placed 2nd in the Charleston International Music Competition for the 15 year old age group and earlier this year, she was awarded 2nd Place in the Jr. Division of the Clara Schumann International Competition and in the Birmingham International Music Competition, Senior 1 Division. She also earned an Honor Mention in the Young Adults category of the American Classical Music Awards.
Macy’s passion for voice started at a young age when singing in the church and Middle School choirs. It has led her to train classically for the past year and a half with Dr. Eun Ah Roh, former professor of Music at Northern Virginia College. She has also studied piano with Paula Johnson of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra since the age of six. Macy has decided to pursue a degree in vocal performance with plans of singing opera professionally.
