Bio:
Emmie has been singing ever since she started to talk. She started taking voice lessons at Yamaha Music School at age 8. Emmie has extensive on stage performance experience. She participated in performances in the Wayland public schools to include the presentation of the musical Seussical and has performed in numerous recitals and on-stage public performances with the Yamaha Music School and other private instruction.
Since 2016, Emmie has been a regular performer among other accomplished amateurs and professionals in the Boston Charity Concert, which raises money to support nonprofit organizations in the Greater Boston Community.
At age 10 Emmie auditioned for and was selected as a member of the Boston Symphony Children’s Chorus conducted by James Burton, the conductor of the Tanglewood Chorus . As a member of the Boston Symphony Children’s Chorus, she has not only participated in multiple live performances at Boston Symphony Hall with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Andris Nelsons, and the Boston Pops, to include Holiday Pops with conductor Keith Lockhart, but also at the Tanglewood Summer Festival. She has had the privilege to perform with many talented performers and with composer John Williams. Emmie also sang and performed in the professional presentation of Opera Pagliacci with the Boston Lyric Opera in 2019.
At Wayland elementary and middle schools, Emmie joined the choruses and was selected as a Wayland MMEA-ED Junior District Festival member in her 7th and 8th grades, while being a member of school orchestra, playing the violin in the elementary school and band, playing the trumpet in elementary & middle schools. As a high school freshman, she was selected as a Senior District Festival member and a member of Acapella Group at Wayland High School.
Since August 2022, Emmie has accepted by Walnut Hill School for the Arts and has been studying as a voice major. She has been participated in number of competitions and she has just won the 1st prize in her age category of the New York Laureate International Music Competition.
