Mason Lee is a 16-year-old double bassist living in Rockville, Maryland. He started playing the double bass at age 11 and currently studies with Ira Gold. Mason is currently in his third year with Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra’s Philharmonic, where he is the principal bassist. He has also participated in various festivals, such as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Maryland Senior All-State Orchestra, in which he was the principal bassist.
