Maureen Min, 15, is in the 10th grade at The Kinkaid School (2023-2024). She began playing piano at age 4 and violin at age 6. She currently studies violin with Dr. Mauricio Oliveros. She is a member of Houston Youth Symphony and OPUS 1 chamber music school. She was also a member of Virtuosi of Houston. Maureen has won multiple awards in violin and piano competitions. Some recent achievements include Third place in NY international Music Competition (2024), First place in Clear Lake Symphony Youth Concerto Competition (2023), Second place in The 24th Annual Immanuel and Helen B. Olshan Foundation Concerto Competition (2023), and Second place in The 23rd Annual Immanuel and Helen B. Olshan Foundation Concerto Competition (2022). She has been ranked #18 in TMEA All State in (2023-2024). Maureen attended multiple summer music festivals such as Madeline Island Chamber Music, PIMF, Credo at Oberlin college and conservatory, and SSMF. Maureen will participate in Bowdoin International Music Festival in summer 2024. Maureen was also a Houston Young Artist in 2022-2023 as a violinist.
