Max is a 12-year-old student at Wayzata West Middle School. He started learning music when he was 5 years old. He likes to sing and compose. He learned singing from Mikyoung Park at MacPhail Center for Music. He was the second-prize winner of the Charleston International Music Competition in the 2024 Spring Music Competition in singing. Max was a winner of the MacPhail 2024 Spring Junior Honors Recital for voice. He won a gold medal in the 2024 CCTV Youth International competition in singing. On the composition side, he won the MMTA (Minnesota Music Teacher Association) composition contest in 2024. He was also a Regional winner of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) West Central Division composition.
