Melody Tai

Melody Tai (she/her) is an award-winning American harpist. She has played her harp in various places in the U.S. and Europe including at the Conservatory of Music in Paris, and at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 2015 Grammy awards.

Tai received her musical training primarily from Alexandra Perdew, Mei Lau, and Daniel Alfred Wachs, and has completed all of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music levels in piano. Over the years, she has won and been a finalist at many competitions including the 12th International Tournier Concorso, 2016 Grandjany Memorial Competition, Lily Laskine International Junior Prix, AHS and ASTA regional competitions, and Beverly Hills ACT-SO, as well as being a member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 47 and the American Harp Society.

Tai holds a B.A. degree from Columbia University in Sustainable Development and is currently splits her time between LA and NYC.
