Introducing Michael Durnev, the exceptional 10-year-old pianist and fourth-grade homeschooler from Crystal, Minnesota. Beginning his musical journey at 5, Michael has achieved numerous awards, including 1st place at the River Falls University competition at the age of 8. Currently studying at Rubbinstain Music Academy under instructor Denis Evstuhin, Michael recently secured 3rd place at the Concert Artists International Competition. His remarkable achievement has earned him a coveted performance opportunity at the prestigious Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York. Alongside his musical pursuits, Michael finds joy in caring for his geckos, Bach and Brahms, and fish Frederick. With his passion for music and dedication to excellence, Michael Durnev is poised to leave an indelible mark on the classical piano world.
