Michael Wang is 17-year-old violist from Rockville, Maryland and has been studying the viola since he was 10 years old. During this time, Michael has played in a variety of ensembles ranging from youth orchestras to different strings quartets. Individually, he has been recognized in several competitions, including a Platinum Recognition and Technical Mastery Award from the Royale Music Competition and Finalist finish in the National Philharmonic Solo Bach Competition. Michael is passionate about spreading music in his community and has worked as a part of the International non-profit Back to Bach to spread musical opportunities to those who lack them. He has performed and gave presentations as a soloist and chamber musician within high schools, senior homes, donor events, and even a wedding!
