
Michelle Cheng began playing piano at age 4, and music has grown to become a significant part of her life. In addition to being selected to perform at Carnegie Hall numerous times through the Great Neck Music Conservatory High Honors recital auditions, Michelle has also received scores of “outstanding” on her NYSSMA level 6 exams and passed the ABRSM level 8 exam. Furthermore, she has played the violin in the school orchestra from 4th grade to 9th grade. Michelle’s past repertoire includes music by Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven, Ravel, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, etc. Outside of music, she is also passionate about tennis, cooking/baking and science. She earned Honorable Mention for her Chemistry project at the 2024 WAC Lighting Invitational Science Fair. Michelle has also made it to DECA states in Rochester for her business proposal.
