I started violin at age six, taking lessons from the Shenandoah Valley Preparatory Music Program, where I have been concertmaster of the Youth Symphony for three years. I’ve been a part of various other ensembles including the Youth Orchestras of Central VA, DC Youth Orchestra Program, Eastern Mennonite University Orchestra, and the award-winning Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra. This year I performed in the South Central VA Senior Regional Orchestra and will be playing in the All-VA Orchestra in the upcoming month.
During the last two summers, I’ve attended Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute and the Philadelphia International Music Festival, and will be attending Interlochen.
Additionally, I have played in pit orchestra for my high school musical and I’m the regional director of the Back to Bach project in my region.
