Minjae Jeon

Minjae Jeon is a young pianist from Potomac, Maryland who has been playing the piano since the age of 6. She has been studying with Dr. Jinha Park since the fall of 2022.

While learning from Dr. Park, Minjae has had many opportunities to showcase her talent in various recitals and competitions. She performed in the Triumph Music Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the years 2022 and 2023. She won first place in the 2022 YMIC Metropolitan Classical Music Festival, earned an honorable mention in the 2023 Thomas F. Hulbert International Competition, was a winner in a WMTA judged recital, won first place in the Charleston International 2023 World Music Competition, and placed second in the 2023 Marlin-Engel solo competition at Levine School of Music. She has also played the piano accompaniment in her school’s chorus concerts.

Playing the piano in recitals has helped her not only gain confidence in performing in front of audiences but also in other aspects of her life, such as school or at home.
