Minji Kim

Minji Kim

Minji is a Junior at Ridge High School. She has attended Manhattan School of Music Precollege since 2017 where she was awarded with the Kate Bamberger Memorial Scholarship in 2018-2019, the Hansoree scholarship in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 and had recipient recitals. She was the 2nd prize winner of the Manhattan School of Music Repertory Strings Concerto competition in 2018. She had a master class with Grigory Kalinovsky in 2020.
She has won several competitions and performed at famous venues such as Carnegie and Merkin Hall. Recently she won the first prize in VIVO International Music Competition, the first prize “Best Mozart Performance” in the Great Composers Competition, and the first prize in the Rondo Young Artist Vanguard Competition. She also won the first prize in the New York International Music Concour for an Ensemble.
Minji performed as a soloist with the Queensboro Symphony Orchestra two times. She also performed in the Young Musician’s Concert and the Hansoree benefit concert. She attended the Heifetz Institute PEG program during the summers of 2017-2019.
