Nicolas Liu is a 13-year-old boy, from his hometown Chino Hills, California. He started playing piano when he was 6. In 2023, he was awarded the First Prize Winner in the Junior Category of the American Protege competition, and was invited to perform at a recital in Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2022, he entered competitions including the Spring Festival Competition from MTAC and received First Place. He also participated in the Satori Summer Music Festival Young Pianist Contest and received 1st place from the Qualified Solo category, and another 1st place from the Qualified Baroque category. Besides piano, Nicolas has many other interests. He enjoys playing golf on the weekends with his dad and his little brother. He’s also taken on an interest in the trumpet instrument, and is now first trumpet of his school’s concert band for the 23-24 school year.
