Nicole Razhanskiy, 16 years old, is a Junior at AITE High School in Stamford, CT.
Nicole started to study violin with her mother, professional violinist, when she was four and a half years old. Later she continued her violin lessons at Lucy Moses School at Kaufman Center in NYC with Viktor Basis.
In 2017 she won Kaufman Music Center Concerto Competition and performed with orchestra at Merkin Hall in NYC. Her other achievements include Grand Prix at Concert Festival International Competitions (2017), First Prize at Susanne Culley Competition (2018, 2019, 2020) followed by performances at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. In 2021 Nicole became a Special Prize Winner at 36th Deborah Kahan Competition CTMTA Fairfield Chapter. She also received First Place at 2020-2021 Vivo International Competition and First prize at 2021 Global Online Great Composers Competition: Best Beethoven Performance.
Nicole participated in Cremona International Music Festival in Italy and Chamber Music Institute in Stamford, CT.
As an avid chamber musician, Nicole studies quartet with Asya Meshberg and performs regularly with Con Fuoco String Quartet at the Mather Homestead Foundation in Darien, CT.
Nicole is a member of Norwalk Youth Symphony since 2016. In 2018 -2019 she was the concertmaster of NYS Concert Orchestra and had an opportunity to perform at Seiji Ozawa Hall in Tanglewood. Currently Nicole is the assistant concertmaster of NYS Principal Orchestra.
Besides music, Nicole loves skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and surfing. Nicole is also a part of a competitive gymnastics team, competing at an xcel platinum level.
